Project Presentation in Croatia

Efficient communication of rules of conduct in protected areas: Our approach for Croatia.

We were invited by the Croatian Ministry of Tourism and Sport to present our innovative solution for the digital communication of rules of conduct in protected areas. The aim is to help the authorities in Croatia to communicate the extensive data they already have to locals and tourists in the best possible way and thus enable the safe and nature conservation-compliant management of activities.

The authorities are currently facing the challenge of how to communicate the extensive data on protected areas and corresponding rules of conduct efficiently and transparently. The aim is to provide both locals and tourists with clear guidelines on how they should behave in these protected areas without endangering nature.

In an exciting meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports and the Ministry of Environment, as well as other participants from the Croatian Mountain Rescue Service and the Croatian Alpine Association, we were able to present the current possibilities of our platform.

We also gave an outlook on future developments, such as the integration of data on temporary closures and the connection of our data to the OpenStreetMap world. These enhancements should help to make all relevant information even more accessible in real time.
