We create the digital basis for nature conservation-compliant activity management.
A very large proportion of leisure activities in Europe take place in forests. It is therefore important to us to involve the relevant forestry authorities in our work, particularly in order to better understand their concerns and be able to respond accordingly.
We are currently looking for pilot partners for our ‘temporary closures’ funding project.
This involves setting up a digital infrastructure for the management of temporary closures in nature and the landscape, e.g. due to nature conservation concerns (breeding/settling/resting periods), agricultural or forestry work or hazards.
This important extension of the current Digitize-Platform enables the maintenance, presentation and display of temporary closures on areas and paths crossing these areas as open data via the relevant internet services: Information services, tour platforms and map applications.
By working as a pilot partner, you have the opportunity to contribute your interests to the project.
Digitize the Planet provides the link via interfaces (API) to tour portals, map applications and other playout channels. This allows the data to be redistributed as open data. The use of this data is free of charge.
Information such as temporary closures (forestry work, hazards) can only be entered by verified persons from the forestry authorities.
Benefit from our expertise in the field of digital activity management and become part of our network of protected areas, authorities, tourism, sports and nature conservation organisations and the outdoor industry.
